Wendy Glass - Journalist, PR Consultant, Website Copywriter

With over 25 years of experience in journalism, PR and copywriting,  my expertise, creativity and imagination will help you promote a forthoming event, enliven your website, add extra punch to a report or simply tell your story. I can always find the right words!

As a Journalist, I write features for national magazines and newsapapers on a range of subjects, including health; real people's extraordinary stories; Scotland's history, people and places; weight loss; keep fit; health; cookery; looking good; lifestyle; celebrities... You name it, I've written about it!

As a PR Consultant, I focus on raising the media profile - and, as a result, the public profile - of events, special occasions, festivals, organisations, companies, websites and visitor attractions throughout Scotland.

As a Website Copywriter, I provide easy-to-read, effective web copy, promptly and efficiently. In addition, I am a highly experienced website editor and my social media service will ensure your Facebook posts and twitter tweets are up-to-date and relevant.

I also copywrite and/or design reports, leaflets, brochures and newsletters.

My first job was as the office junior in Jackie magazine - what a fabulous start! I worked on various magazines at DC Thomson's , publishers of Jackie, for the next 12 years, with posts including Assistant Pop Editor on Jackie (best job ever for an 18-year-old!), editor of Blue Jeans and Assistant Editor/Features Editor of My Weekly.

In 1994, I decided the time was right to move into the world of freelance magazine journalism - a move I've never regretted. Since then, I've used my experience as a journalist to successfully add PR and copywriting to my skills, as well as continuing to write for a wide range of national publications.

I'm based in Kirriemuir, a small town in the foothills of the glorious Angus Glens. My location makes me ideally situated to provide journalism, PR and copywriting services throughout Scotland (and, in particular, the county of Angus and the city of Dundee), while technology - and good transport links - enables me to provide a UK-wide service to my many clients outwith the Angus and Dundee area.
