My first job was as the office junior in Jackie magazine - what a fabulous start! I worked on various magazines at the publishers of Jackie, for the next 12 years, with posts including Assistant Pop Editor on Jackie (best job ever for an 18-year-old!), editor of Blue Jeans and Assistant Editor/Features Editor of My Weekly.  
 

In 1994, I moved into the world of freelance magazine journalism - a career change I've never regretted. Since then, I've also added print and online copywriting/editing to my skills, as well as continuing to write for a wide range of national publications.
